WhatsApp’s Community Feature
Currently, the users have multiple groups for family, friends, office colleagues & the list continues. As mentioned in the update, the Pandemic has created more demand to platforms like WhatsApp, Zoom, Teams & etc.
They wanted to implement this new feature based on the feedback received from many users. This feature can assist to segregate the groups as per its purpose and bring it under one frame to make the categorization easy.
For instance, a student might have multiple groups as per his study programs or colleges. So he/she can bring all those groups under ‘School or College’& it will be easy to manage the conversations by keeping them organized.

Community Feature
Further, this Community feature includes some elevated privileges for Group Admins. such as making announcement messages, control the groups that can be added.
There are some more enhancements added to the way the WhatsApp group works irrespective of
being included in Community or not. These improvements have been made to share in new ways and minimize overload in larger chats.
As per this update, WhatsApp is going to release these new updates in the upcoming weeks. The users will have the opportunity to check these out before the implementation of the “Communities” feature.

- The reactions aren’t going to be considered as a chat reply that floods the chat. Seems it’s going to be shown underneath the reply with count.
- Admin Privilege : Group administrator has the power to delete/remove problematic messages from everyone’s chats.
- File Sharing : The file sharing support has been extended up to 2GB, So now you can share large files through WhatsApp chats.
- Larger Voice Calls : Introducing one-tap voice calling for up to 32 people with a new design. So we will have to wait to experience this new feature.
